Play is so vitally important as a child. By providing a safe place to play and use their imaginations, it fosters emotional growth, builds relationships, provides critical thinking skills and brain development, and unlocks endless potential for a lifelong love of learning.
In CAL play groups, Miss Ingrid will explore the arts in play each time they meet. It is integrated in to the classroom and scaffolded to match the interests of the children in the group. For example, we might explore Peter and the Wolf to learn about storytelling in music as well as instruments in the orchestra. Or Carnival of the Animals when learning about animals or before a trip to the zoo!
